Google Launched Public DNS Service.

As i explained you about DNS in my previous article on openDNS, now you have another alternative to set the DNS settings for your internet connection. Google launched their own public DNS service which is free to use globally. To configure your internet to use Google public DNS, open the internet connection properties, select Internet Protocol(TCP/IP), click properties and set the IP addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as the Preferred and Alternative DNS servers.

By setting Google public DNS to your internet connection you will experience a speeder browsing and improve security as well. Google says that they are hosting this public DNS service worldwide in different data centers to be closer to the internet users worldwide.

    I just want to know if Google Public DNS can be set in my Nokia E52 phone. I think my internet connection is running too slow because of DNS only.
